Park Smart Project Launch

Look out for our Park Smart project aimed at making all of us safer in and around our school that has been Launched today!

Nigel Spencer from the MK Council visited us today and launched our new Park Smart project in school. The aim is to make the parking and driving on our school premises and in the streets around our school, safer for all of us, especially the children. All children will have a leaflet to take home with them and we have a couple of banners to put up around school to remind us to be safe.

We will be recruiting 6 Junior Road Safety Officers from our Year 4s and 5s to work with two mentors, Ms Weight and Ms Richards. Nigel Spencer will come and advise us on activities the JSROs can lead to raise safety awareness.

We know that parking and movement around school can be a big problem at the beginning and end of the day, so we want to work with our community and the Council to make it safer.

We hope you will all join us to improve our use of the spaces and roads around us and to encourage your children to be traffic aware and good drivers when they eventually get behind the wheel!
