The eCadets scheme empowers children to keep themselves and their friends and fellow pupils safe online. It is the only structured pupil-led peer empowerment eSafety programme especially designed for ages 3 to 18 years and with Ofsted and Estyn teams recognising its impact in schools.
Learning at the core: Built by award-winning teachers and police, to deliver the highest levels of learning opportunities for all
Recognised best practice: the scheme is recognised at the best online safety pupil empowerment solution in the UK winning the Nominet and the Internet Service Provider’s Association awards for ‘Making the Internet a Safer Place’.
The eCadet scheme is unique. With pupils carrying out a number of eSafety challenges throughout the year that help the school towards achieving the prestigious eCadet Gold Mark.
We began our eCadet journey back in November 2014 and at the present time we have 10 eCadets with pupils across Years 4, 5 & 6.
They have been very creative in their use of technology to get across how to keep safe online and have produced some amazing posters, leaflets, videos and even recorded their own song!
You can see some of their hard work using the menu to the right.
You can also find more information on staying sage online from the eSafety page of our website.
